Migrating from Nucleus to WordPress

Vota este artículo

It’s been a long time since my last post, with multiply reasons behind my absence.  Would like to think I had no time at all to pay the attention it deserved but there were some issues that required a calm approach.

The most important thing was that got a really serious problem with hosting because of the inmense traffic the website received,  being almost 100% spam traffic. And really got to pay for the extra amount of GB. That was not funny.

Once it was solved, blocking the comments got to say,  detected a decent amount of legit traffic,  and furthermore,  domain and site reached certain authority as Moz analytical showed up.

So certainly was keen to save the facemash project,  or at least give it another round. That meant migrating from the not so easy Nucleus CMS.  There is no decent default pagination,  no proper spam comments control,  no.. Nothing. It is supposedly focused on writing,  but it takes lot of time and knowledge to set up the most insignificant detail.

So copied and pasted all my posts from Nucleus to WordPress with no magic export – import process,  all done by hand.

There we go,  now running on WordPress,  and looking forward new season with lots of community management posts coming.

Stay tuned.
